Thought For The Day

"Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." (Hebrews 3:13) This is a place where new and mature Christians, alike, can come to find encouragement, and be challenged with a daily dose of God's Word to meditate on throughout the day. Together, we can grow passionate about God and His Word, allowing Him to be our guide and His Word to be our foundation.

Words and Thoughts

Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

What do the words that come out of our mouths sound like? How about the thoughts in ours heads? Are they pleasing to God? Scary thought, isn’t it? Oh, that every word out of my mouth - and not just the word itself, but what is being said, and how it’s being said - and every thought in my head, would bring delight to the Lord God Almighty. That my whole life would bring Him joy, and would reflect His great glory into this dark and dim world. For me, it all starts with my thoughts, and my words. It that if I could get those in-line (with much help from God, of course), then the rest of my deeds and actions will follow.

Let’s work on it - will you join me? It will take time - it can’t just happen in a day - but let’s work to bring the Lord delight in all that we do, or say, or think. Let’s start today, and work each day to make our thoughts "obedient to Christ," that our whole lives would become His beacon of light and glory to this world.
